Backup Assessment
We identify the computers, servers, Microsoft 365 accounts, business applications, and critical information that require protection.
Solution Design
MyTECHWIZ recommends a local, cloud, or hybrid backup solution based on your storage requirements, backup frequency, retention needs, and acceptable downtime.
Backup Configuration
We configure the approved backup solution and establish schedules for the selected computers, servers, files, folders, or cloud accounts.
Monitoring & Verification
Backup activity is monitored according to the selected service plan. Failed or missed backup jobs can be reviewed and addressed before an emergency occurs.
Recovery Assistance
When protected data is lost or damaged, MyTECHWIZ assists with restoring available files, folders, systems, or Microsoft 365 information.
LOCAL & HYBRID BACKUP SOLUTIONS
A strong backup strategy should provide both convenient recovery and protection against major incidents. MyTECHWIZ recommends hybrid backup solutions that combine local backups for faster restoration with secure off-site backups for protection against equipment failure, theft, ransomware, and site-wide disasters.
- Faster recovery of files and systems
- Protection against storage-device failure
- Additional recovery options following ransomware
- Off-site protection against local disasters
- Multiple restore points
- Reduced business downtime
- Improved operational resilience
- Greater flexibility when recovering data
MICROSOFT 365 DATA PROTECTION
Many organizations depend on Microsoft 365 for daily communication, document storage, collaboration, and business operations. Microsoft operates the Microsoft 365 cloud platform, but organizations remain responsible for protecting their information against accidental deletion, malicious activity, retention gaps, and user error. A separate Microsoft 365 backup solution provides additional recovery options outside the active Microsoft 365 environment.
- Exchange Online email
- OneDrive files
- SharePoint documents
- Microsoft Teams information
- Shared business documents
- Selected Microsoft 365 user data
Microsoft 365 backup availability, retention, and supported data types depend on the selected backup platform and licensing.
BACKUP SERVICE PRICING
Every organization has different systems, storage requirements, and recovery priorities. Backup services are priced based on an assessment rather than a single fixed price. After completing a backup assessment, MyTECHWIZ will provide a clear recommendation and an up-front quote.
BACKUP & DISASTER RECOVERY FAQs
How often are backups performed?
Backup schedules depend on the selected service, the type of system being protected, and how frequently information changes. Some systems may require daily backups, while business-critical systems may benefit from more frequent protection. The recommended schedule will be documented during the backup assessment.
How long is backup data retained?
Retention determines how long previous versions and recovery points remain available. Available retention periods depend on the backup platform, storage capacity, selected plan, and customer requirements. MyTECHWIZ will explain the available retention options before the service is configured.
Are backups monitored?
Managed backup plans may include monitoring for failed or missed backup jobs. The monitoring frequency, response process, and included support depend on the selected service plan.
Can you protect Microsoft 365?
Yes. MyTECHWIZ can provide backup options for supported Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, and selected user data. Coverage depends on the selected platform and Microsoft 365 licensing.
How quickly can data be restored?
Recovery time depends on the amount of data being restored, type of system, internet and network speed, condition of replacement hardware, location of the backup, selected backup service, and severity of the incident. Recovery times cannot be guaranteed unless a specific recovery commitment is included in the service agreement.
Are recovery tests included?
Recovery testing may be included or offered as an additional service depending on the selected backup plan. Testing helps confirm that protected information can be accessed and provides an opportunity to identify problems before an actual emergency occurs.
What happens if a backup fails?
When monitoring is included, failed or missed backup jobs can be identified, reviewed, and addressed according to the selected service plan. Some failures may require customer assistance, additional storage, software updates, hardware replacement, or changes to the backup configuration.
Is restore assistance included?
Restore assistance depends on the selected service agreement. Some plans may include a defined amount of recovery support, while extensive restoration, emergency response, replacement hardware, or after-hours service may require an additional fee.
